I Know Now What I Knew Then.

Hello everyone! Could this be? 2010 already??? I know, I’m shocked myself by how quickly last year flew bye. I haven’t had an actual blog post in a while, which is completely my fault. I’ve been avoiding it because things have been bleak lately. But it’s alright… I need to get back into the swing of things eventually I suppose. Winter Break has come and gone unfortunately at times it seemed infinite and at others almost non-existent. I got a ton of stuff done online over the break though. I opened my new fanlisting for G.I.R. & Zim of Invader Zim, and I also did a lot of work on Tomorrow’s Deception (as well as make the contest which I mentioned in the previous post.) Oh, I also did a nice little rearrangement of my room. It’s completely clean and organized now. I finally got rid of a ton of my old crap like fuzzy posters I colored when I was five, and a small sect of the army of stuffed animals from my childhood. I’m really actually proud of how everything looks although I have a huge blank spot on my wall, I’m planning on putting a collage of small posters there. I’ll post some pictures when it’s finished perhaps. I was actually planning to do a lot of school work over the break, but unfortunately because I put it off I will be suffering a bit over the next couple of weeks, plus my finals are scheduled for the last week of January, and for some of my classes (namely AP Economics) I need to start reviewing as soon as possible which will probably mean this week. I was thinking about taking an SAT prep course this month as well, but then I decided that would probably be suicide. I am going to take my first attempt at the SAT in May, and then I will take it again towards the beginning of my Senior year. I fear for the outcome though, I really need to start working on vocab for the test. *sigh* Not to mention I am going to take my AP Tests for Language Arts and Economics in May as well. God that month is going to be a living hell. Anyway, I have also been working on some web stuff for school. I have two students who have handed me the task of making them a website for some business project they are doing. I started working on it before break and got the basic layout done, but there is a startlingly large amount of things we still needed to discuss about content, hosting, etc. (Because they have no idea what type of hosting they’re going to use, and the way I built their PHP form, they must get a host with an SMTP server). They failed to e-mail me back until after break so now I have to finish up that project. I guess I don’t mind though… It’s most of the way done already, but they had a list of crazy things they wanted on the layout, I really don’t know how I met all of their expectations, they wanted this crazy graffiti type look (which I am no graffiti artist, so I had a little trouble with), as well as these creepy vector eyes they had for a logo, and then I still haven’t built the PHP calender they wanted. That’s going to be a pain in the ass. I suppose it’s better than what the rest of my web design class is doing which is boring easy stuff. But seriously, how often do you get such annoying clients as a designer? 0_0

I also have been dealing with a lot of stress at home… For now it’s over, but mostly over break I just had a hard time putting up with my family. My sister was home for break, which was nice, but at expected we clashed and got into a couple nasty arguments throughout the two weeks. Maybe it’s me that’s changed (even though I kind of think it’s her or rather both of us), but we just don’t get a long as well as we used to. I mean we’re still great friends and will be forever, but I can’t remember us fighting, like we have been doing recently, before. I know I talk about this almost every time my sister comes to visit, but really it’s something that I can never get over. I’m generally a calm person offline, and I keep to myself. If someone says something I don’t like, I won’t attack them for it I’ll either say nothing, or approach them in a calm and collected manor, but something about being around my sister, everything she says set me off into an argument. I think it’s because I actually care what she thinks about me because I trust her so much… I don’t know. I usually don’t care what people say or think, but her… I don’t know it’s way different. I take offense to the things she says. There was also a bit of inter-arguing between my other family members and her, or between my parents. Really it was like a drama parade at our house over break. I hate playing peacemaker though, so I usually keep out of it.

Finally, I would like to discuss my current situation with my online activities. Obviously I will be very busy for the next couple of weeks, so I apologize in advance, I am planning on working on a new layout for Rewind The Radio either this weekend or next. Also in the future I am planning to do a small revamp/layout change on my domain, but that will come quite some time from now, perhaps in February or later. I will try to keep up with my updates on my graphics site, but don’t expect anything big going on there (except the contest of course). I was thinking about making an ultra-sleek simplistic look for Tomorrow’s Deception but of course, that it the least of my worries, and I probably won’t get to that for a while, because T-D isn’t due for a layout change until several months from now. It’s just a thought though, I might take the whole site on revamp by then because every time I look at it, I can’t help but remark on how messy the entire site is. So maybe come late spring/early summer I will get to that. I know, I’m projecting a while into the future, which probably shouldn’t even be discussed it’s so far off, but I’m just sharing my thoughts. I also have another fanlisting ready to go (which should be up soon) if TAFL ever gets around to approving my application. Anyway, that’s all for now. I won’t be around the internet much this month as I stated besides the occasional twitter posts. :D Until next time then! Ah!
